The annual Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous, regarded by leading industry players as the definitive superyacht event in Asia, is set to return to the luxury resort on December 8 to 10, after the incredible success of the inaugural event in 2016.

Hailed as the most prestigious yachting destination in Thailand, Kata Rocks’ oceanfront location is an idyllic destination for the invitation-only, world-class event, with the luxury yachting world beginning the official countdown to the momentous three daylong rendezvous.

Designed to bring like-minded people together including Kata Rocks villa owners, superyacht owners and discerning guests with an interest in yachting and luxury lifestyle as well as industry professionals, the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous will bring some of the world’s most iconic superyacht brands to Phuket.

Featuring a series of bespoke activities, the three-day event will include a welcome reception on a superyacht, a cruise to a secluded beach for a gourmet BBQ at The Surin Phuket, an exclusive cocktail party hosted by global media authority in super yachting Boat International, as well as several private cocktail parties, superyacht owner’s dinners, and on the water showcases presented by Sea-Doo.

Recognised as the world leader in the field of pure custom superyachts in terms of craftsmanship, design, engineering and construction, famed Dutch superyacht builder Feadship will return as a key co-sponsor while hosting the exclusive superyacht owner’s dinner for the second consecutive year.

In addition, Benetti, one of Italy’s most prestigious motor yacht brands known for its fine craftsmanship and refined sense of Italian design along with Vista Jet, one of the world’s most innovative private jet companies with experiences in over 187 countries worldwide, will host an exclusive dinner in Kata Rock’s iconic Sky Villa Penthouse, leveraging a dream pairing of superyacht and private jet charters.

With last year’s event welcoming 17 superyachts to Phuket’s west coast including iconic superyachts such as the 93m Lauren L and 51m Northern Sun, an even more impressive turnout is expected at Asia’s leading superyacht event.

Empowering its mission to elevate Phuket to superior destination status, the KRSR captures the interest and imagination of both the yachting world’s sophisticated elite, together with ultra-high net worth individuals, enticing them to sample a multitude of new and exciting, emotionally-resonating experiences, together with the pristine beauty of Thailand’s Andaman Sea.

The Andaman Sea’s majestic body of water is what remains the region’s marquee attraction, relatively unexplored and where less than 10% of the world’s superyachts have ever dropped anchor, with the region offering a vast, multicultural cruising ground more than five times traditional superyacht playground such as the Caribbean Islands.
