Hot off the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) catwalk and straight to Caulfield Racecourse, celebrated international model Georgia Fowler is set to add a touch of glamour as she attends the 2019 Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Day on Saturday 19 October.

A special guest of the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC), the 27-year-old, New Zealand-born model rounds out the impressive line-up of celebrities making an appearance trackside this spring to take part in the New York City inspired festivities.

Having grown up between New Zealand and Australia, Georgia worked locally as a model before signing with IMG Models at 16 and making the career-defining move to the Big Apple. Now calling New York City home, she has swiftly become one of the world’s most sought-after fashion faces and is listed as one of the top earning models of 2018.

Georgia has graced the runway of the Victoria Secret Fashion Show for three consecutive years and worked for high profile fashion and beauty brands including Miu Miu, H&M and Prada as well as strutted her stuff for Chanel and Kanye West’s Yeezy label – travelling all corners of the globe.

With a professional golfer as a father, Georgia’s love of sport is in her blood. She is sure to make herself at home at Caulfield this spring where she will enjoy world-class racing including the Group 1, $5.15m Stella Artois Caulfield Cup, as well as the finest food, entertainment and trackside fashion.

Returning to Australian shores, Georgia is looking forward to experiencing one of Melbourne’s acclaimed sporting events and discovering how her home city of New York is translated trackside.

“I’m excited to be attending Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Day and seeing how Caulfield Racecourse will be brought to life like New York City. I love calling New York my home now, and I’m happy to be bringing a touch of the city with me to Melbourne,” said Fowler.

“I’ve always loved Melbourne and what is has to offer, its food, fashion and general vibe, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the fusion of this with New York at the Carnival”.

Peta Webster, Chief Commercial Officer at the Melbourne Racing Club shared the Club’s delight in having Georgia attend this year’s Carnival.

“Georgia is a charming character that has built a highly successful career in the fashion industry from a young age. We would love to call her our own but we’re truly excited to welcome her to Australia and to Caulfield to join in the celebration of New York City. We expect she’ll bring a sense of impeccable style and fun to Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Day,” said Webster.

Georgia joins a star-studded list of MRC special guests for this year’s Carnival including US-based musician and son of Actor Daniel Day Lewis, Gabriel-Kane Day Lewis, and power couple Jobe Watson and Virginia Slaghekke.

New Yorkers at heart, Georgia, Gabriel-Kane, Jobe and Virginia will share their love of the Big Apple trackside at Caulfield this year, taking part in the Carnival’s reimagination of New York City.
